23 = number of eggs retrieved
17 = number mature enough to ICSI
9 = number of embryos that hold my heart and my hope
I have to say, I'm a little disappointed that 17 mature eggs only produced 9 embryos, but, I'm hopeful enough to look at it as more than double the number we've ever had from my eggs.
So, I'm praying they are good and strong and will wait with bated breath for the call on Saturday telling us whether we're having a day 3 transfer or pushing to day 5...

That's still fantastic numbers. I'm praying for you!
9 is a wonderful number. Because it is half of 18. And you know that 18 is magical. And this is the first part of the journey. The other half will be carrying one of these embryos to term. I am thinking positive for you :-)
9 is awesome! Praying for a 5 day!
I hope those nine embryos make the most beautiful, perfect blastocysts the doc has ever seen.
